The Big Swiss Quiz 2020: Day 2 questions

December 8, 2020, 2 Comments

Day 2 of the Big Swiss Quiz with some great prizes up for grabs, such as tickets to Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn or Titlis. There are 30 questions, with six being posted each day this week. If you missed the first six questions, you can find them here: Day 1.

All you have to do is keep a note of your six answers each day. Do not send in today’s answers now! Details of all the prizes and rules can be found here.

Deadline is 15 December.

Each answer is a whole number (no fractions or decimal points) and by the end, you’ll have 30 numbers. Add them together and that’s your total, which is your ticket to enter into the prize draw. So, here are the next six questions:

7. The Therme spa in Vals (pictured above) has a number in its official name: what number?

8. And at what temperature does the water come out of the St Peter spring?

Jet d’Eau

9. The Jet d’Eau is the symbol of Geneva. How tall is the fountain?

10. How many times has Switzerland hosted the Olympic Games?

Schaffhausen

11. In which year did Schaffhausen join the Swiss Confederation?

12. Switzerland borders on five countries: how long is the longest of those borders (in km)?

Don’t submit these answers yet!

Keep them handy and come back tomorrow for the next set of questions. But you’re now one step closer to winning tickets up to Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn or Titlis – or maybe some beautiful travel posters, ski passes or a signed book.
